There is nothing better than camping out at night with the ones you love. Camping is one of the greatest pastimes for a good reason. However, it is important to note that while camping can be great fun, you need to plan for many things when taking a trip. Make sure your sleeping bag is fit for the location. If its winter, purchase a heavyweight sleeping bag; people who camp in warm weather should use a lightweight sleeping bag. You might even consider a bag that surrounds the body hugging one as it helps you retain your body heat.

An orange peel may prevent you from getting mosquito bites when you’re on your camping trip. This can be used if you forgot your insect repellant. This should effectively repel mosquitoes at bay for a number of hours.

Keep pictures of your children on you if they are camping with you.This picture could be used to help you locate your children quickly if they were to get separated from the trip. Be sure that you have brought one for urgent situations, particularly if you are far away from your home.

Clean out your campsite before going home. Be sure to bring plenty of garbage bags for clearing away trash. Pack up any leftover food that may remain and remove it from the campsite.The rule of thumb when breaking down a campsite is to just leave footprints behind.
